Position Summary

  • The Bancassurance Analyst plays a critical role in supporting the operational and strategic effectiveness of the Bancassurance channel. This role is responsible for commission and incentive calculations, sales data reporting, performance analysis, and providing administrative support to ensure the smooth functioning of the team.
  • The analyst will work closely with sales leaders, finance, and distribution partners to ensure accuracy, transparency, and actionable insights that drive business performance.

Responsibilities:

Sales Performance Analysis & Reporting

  • Compile, consolidate, and publish weekly and monthly sales reports across all branches and sales teams.
  • Track actual vs. target performance at all levels (branch, region, product, individual).
  • Monitor product mix, sales volume trends, and campaign performance.
  • Generate ad-hoc reports and insights to support management decision-making.

Commission & Incentive Management

  • Accurately calculate monthly commissions and performance-based incentives for bancassurance sales teams.
  • Work closely with Operation, Finance and HR to ensure timely and accurate payout processing.
  • Reconcile commission disputes and manage exception handling.
  • Maintain and update commission structures, formulas, and eligibility lists.

Data Management & Analytics

  • Maintain databases of sales records, lead conversions, campaign tracking, and policy issuance.
  • Analyze sales trends, customer segmentation, and productivity by channels or segments.
  • Identify areas of underperformance and recommend data-driven actions to support sales growth.

Administrative & Coordination Support

  • Coordinate internal meetings, training sessions, and incentive launches
  • Maintain documentation and assist in process compliance (e.g., audit requirements, SLAs).
  • Support onboarding and offboarding processes for bancassurance staff and interns.

Requirements
Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, Statistics, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in a sales operation, business analyst, or financial analyst role, preferably in insurance, banking, or financial services.
  • Experience with commission and incentive schemes is a strong advantage.
  • Salary is 5L to 10L depending on experience.

Technical Skills:

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, formulas, dashboards).
  • Experience in BI/reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, etc.) is a plus.
  • Familiarity with core insurance or bancassurance systems is preferred.

Soft Skills:

  • Highly analytical with a strong attention to detail.
  • Organized and able to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate with internal stakeholders.
  • Discreet in handling sensitive compensation and performance data.
