Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field.
- Experience in chemical procurement, sourcing, and bidding processes, preferably in a bidding company or related environment.
- Strong understanding of chemical materials, their properties, applications, and sourcing requirements.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Software.
- Knowledge of industry-specific standards and regulations for chemicals and hazardous materials.
- Excellent negotiation, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills with suppliers and internal teams.
- Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple bids, contracts, and suppliers simultaneously.
- Ability to work under pressure and handle tight deadlines.
Job Descriptions
- Lead the sourcing and procurement of chemicals for various projects through a structured bidding process.
- Develop and issue Request for Proposals (RFPs) and Request for Quotations (RFQs) to potential suppliers.
- Evaluate and compare supplier bids, ensuring alignment with project requirements, budget constraints, and quality standards.
- Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to secure the best deals while maintaining product integrity and compliance.
- Assess and monitor supplier performance, including delivery timelines, product quality, and service levels.
- Maintain a strong understanding of market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supply chain dynamics in the chemical industry.
- Manage supplier relationships, resolving any issues related to delivery, quality, or contract terms.
- Prepare and present cost analysis reports, procurement strategies, and performance reviews to stakeholders.
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM
Holidays: Sunday & Public Holidays
