Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce. ACCA, CPA qualified is preferred
- At least 5–10 years of progressive experience in accounting roles, with at least 3 years in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
- Experience in retail, trading, or a bullion/precious metals environment is a significant advantage.
- Strong background in Inventory Valuation and Internal Audit Controls. Project financial management experience is a plus
- High level of competency in using ERP systems
- Advanced knowledge of excel, word and power point
- Solid knowledge of Myanmar’s tax laws (Commercial Tax, Income Tax, and Withholding Tax)
- Strong interpersonal and people management skills to supervise and train the finance team
- High level of integrity and attention to detail, especially regarding high-value physical stock
- Excellent organizational and planning skills with the ability to meet tight monthly/annual deadlines
Job Descriptions
- Financial Governance & Compliance Policies & Procedures: Implement and maintain financial systems and policies in full compliance with organizational standards and Myanmar government requirements.
- Tax & Audit Management: Oversee all government tax filings and lead the preparation for annual audits to ensure zero non-compliance.
- Regulatory Reporting: Ensure the business meets all reporting standards for precious metal trading, specifically regarding Anti-Money Laundering (AML) protocols.
- Reporting Excellence: Guarantee the accuracy and timely delivery of the Balance Sheet, P&L, Income Statements, and Cash Flow statements.
- Management Advisory: Prepare customized monthly/quarterly reports and act as the primary point of contact for all financial inquiries from Management.
- ERP Leadership: Configure and optimize ERP financial modules to enhance accounting workflows and automate manual processes.
- System Integrity: Perform weekly and monthly audits of accounting data within AGBS to ensure data consistency.
- Stock Reconciliation: Conduct rigorous reconciliations between physical gold/bullion inventory and AGBS system records to prevent discrepancies.
- Valuation & Pricing: Monitor the impact of market price volatility on inventory valuation and report on margin performance.
- Cost Control: Manage all business-related expenses, ensuring they are within budget, well documented, and backed by valid receipts.
- Team Supervision: Directly supervise the Finance team, providing mentorship and technical training to ensure high performance.
- Internal Audit: Perform internal checks on cash handling and high-value transactions to ensure staff adherence to internal controls and financial integrity.
Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM
Holidays: A Day Per Week
