GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Responsible for financial planning, modelling, financial analysis, reporting, risk management, compliance, and strategic decision-making while leading teams, ensuring financial stability, and fostering growth within the organization.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The key responsibilities are to:
Develop Financial Strategy and Policies

  • Formulate and implement financial strategies that align with the company’s objectives.
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to senior management.
  • Develop and refine financial policies, procedures, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), ensuring alignment with industry best practices and regulatory requirements.
  • Implement & monitor internal control mechanisms to safeguard assets, prevent fraud, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards and industry best practices.

Financial Planning & Analysis

  • Perform financial modelling and scenario analysis to support strategic planning initiatives.
  • Assess the financial feasibility of new projects and investments.
  • Develop and manage financial plans, budgets, and forecasts to ensure effective financial management.
  • Analyze financial data to provide insights into costs, revenues, and overall financial performance of various crop production strategies or projects.
  • Analyze costs, pricing, operational spend, sales results and the company’s actual performance and recommend specific plans of action.

Capital Management & Investment Analysis

  • Work closely with R&D, production, sales & marketing team in reviewing investment support and ensuring that ROI is justified, optimized, and delivered.
  • Conduct financial analysis and feasibility studies for proposed investments. 

Cash Management

  • Lead and manage cash flow strategies to ensure adequate liquidity for operational needs.
  • Monitor and forecast cash flow, manage liquidity risks, and maintain strong banking relationships.

Budgeting & Cost Control

  • Prepare and oversee the implementation of budgets for crop production operations.
  • Monitor expenses related to crop cultivation, fertilizers, pesticides, labor, equipment, and others.
  • Reviewing AR Aging and monitoring for collection.
  • Implement cost-saving measures while ensuring optimal production quality.

Financial Reporting & Compliance

  • Oversee and manage all financial operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and reporting, ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
  • Prepare and deliver financial reports regularly, monitoring financial performance and ensuring transparency with stakeholders.
  • Manage the preparation and review of key financial statements to ensure accurate reflection of the company’s financial position.
  • Maintain the fixed assets register, handle acquisitions, disposals, and depreciation, and oversee inventory and prepaid expenses.
  • Lead annual budget preparation, assign monthly budgets to departments, and provide ongoing financial forecasts to adjust for business environment changes.
  • Lead audit processes, tax compliance, and other legal financial obligations to meet all regulatory standards.

Banking

  • Manage relationships with banks and financial institutions.
  • Perform process of cash management, loans process, and credit.

REQUIREMENTS
Experience and Education:

  • CPA/ M. Com/B. Com with ACCA or equivalent qualification in Finance & Account.
  • At least 10 years working experience in financial analysis and accounting and minimum (3- 5) years of experience as CFO/FC role.
  • Oversee financial planning, financial modeling, analysis, and bank loan processing.
  • Experience in Agriculture/Retail Industry is preferable.
  • Salary 40L to 50L depends on experience and skills.

Knowledge and Skills

  • Strong analytical skills and excellent problem-solving abilities & excellence communication skill, decision-making skill.
  • Strong understanding of financial principles, regulations and best practices.
  • Proactive and ability to work independently with good team management skills.
  • Good knowledge in IFRS standards.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
