Job Descriptions

  • Manage sea export and import shipments, including booking reservations and securing space with carriers.
  • Negotiate space availability between customers and carriers to meet shipment requirements.
  • Coordinate booking arrangements, from receiving bookings to vessel loading, issuing B/L, invoicing, and payment collection.
  • Input shipment details into Sy freight for Sea Export, Insurance, and General Jobs to ensure timely invoicing.
  • Issue invoices accurately and coordinate with customers, carriers, and the Finance Department for payment transfers.
  • Follow up on outstanding payments and act as a liaison between customers and the Finance team.
  • Monitor carrier schedules, update customers on vessel connections, and handle any schedule changes or delays.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, carriers, and internal operations teams for shipment updates or issue resolution.
  • Resolve any problems that arise with customers or POD (Port of Discharge) agents efficiently.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly reports for sea export and import shipments to the CS-Manager.

 

 Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, Supply Chain, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Customer Service, Freight Forwarding, or Shipping operations.
  • Strong knowledge of sea export and import processes.
  • Proficiency in shipment management systems, such as Sysfreight, and Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills to liaise effectively with customers and carriers.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle customer issues promptly and professionally.
  • Ability to multitask, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure.
  • High attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proactive mindset with a focus on customer satisfaction and operational excellence.

 

 Working Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm

Holidays:  Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
