Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related field
- Professional accounting qualifications (CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) are an advantage.
- Minimum 5–7 years of relevant experience, including at least 3 years in a managerial
- Proven experience in the microfinance, banking, or financial services sector in Myanmar is strongly preferred.
- Strong understanding of microfinance operations, portfolio management, and financial performance metrics (e.g., PAR, OLP).
- Expertise in financial forecasting, budgeting, and financial modelling.
- Knowledge of Myanmar’s tax regulations, FRD requirements, and financial
- Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel (advanced).
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and financial modelling skills.
- Excellent leadership, team management, and communication skills.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to work under pressure.
- Fluency in English and Myanmar (written and spoken) is required.
Job Descriptions
- Financial Planning & Forecasting
- Lead the preparation of financial forecasts, cash flow projections, and long-term financial models to support business growth and sustainability.
- Continuously update forecasts based on portfolio performance, funding needs, and market conditions.
- Support senior management in evaluating strategic initiatives, branch expansion, or new financial products using financial projections.
- Develop and manage annual budgets, forecasts, and financial plans in alignment with the company’s strategic objectives.
- Prepare accurate and timely financial statements, management reports, and regulatory submissions (e.g., FRD reporting).
- Monitor key financial metrics, such as Portfolio at Risk (PAR), loan portfolio growth, and operational sustainability.
- Conduct variance analysis, providing insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual tax filings, ensuring compliance with Myanmar tax laws.
- Cash Flow & Treasury Management
- Manage cash flow to ensure adequate liquidity for loan disbursements, operational expenses, and debt servicing.
- Oversee bank relationships, loan agreements, and collateral management.
- Support fund-raising efforts by preparing financial data for investors, lenders, and development partners.
- Ensure compliance with FRD regulations, Myanmar Companies Law, and other relevant legal requirements.
- Monitor financial risks, implement internal controls, and conduct periodic audits to safeguard company assets.
- Ensure compliance with donor/grant reporting requirements, where applicable.
- Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff, ensuring accuracy and timeliness in all accounting processes.
- Support capacity building by providing training to branch accountants and finance officers.
- Coordinate with operational teams to ensure accurate loan portfolio and repayment data.
- Contribute to strategic decision-making by providing financial analysis and forecasting for new products, branch expansions, or technology upgrades.
- Lead initiatives to optimize cost structures and improve operational efficiency.
Working Hours: 8:30AM to 5:30PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
