Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in relevant areas.
- Professional accounting qualifications such as CPA or ACCA are preferred.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a senior finance position within the banking, microfinance, or insurance industry.
- A proactive, self-motivated individual with a can-do attitude, capable of learning new things quickly.
- Shows proficiency in handling challenging situations and consistently meet tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, with strong report writing and communication skills.
- Experience with year-end/month-end closing processes in financial software.
- Salary is up to around 15L depending on experience.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain a full set of yearly financial statements, monthly management accounts, and monthly/weekly performance reports.
- Review and verify various reports of incoming revenue, including premiums, interest from investments, etc., and submit final daily/weekly/ad-hoc reports.
- Monitor outgoing funds, including payouts for claims, operating expenses, petty cash, cash advances, etc., and verify with fund flow.
- Prepare cash forecasts.
- Act as a key coordinator for all finance functions to ensure data integrity and support optimal team performance.
- Create, analyses, maintain, and monitor financial performance-related management reports.
- Prepare budgets and perform financial analysis as required by the business.
- Communicate with external auditors, tax officers, and regulators as necessary, and submit returns where applicable.
- Understand the end-to-end data flow within the finance team and support finance-related project implementations as a process owner.
- Prepare ad-hoc letters/applications in English and Burmese as needed by the business.
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
