A Modern Trade Sales Supervisor in the tools and machinery sector is responsible for managing and growing sales in modern trade channels, such as supermarkets, hypermarkets, hardware chains, and specialty stores. Below is a detailed job description tailored to the Myanmar market:
- Drive sales to meet or exceed monthly, quarterly, and annual targets.
- Monitor sales performance by analyzing data and trends specific to the modern trade segment.
- Develop and implement sales strategies to grow the market share of tools and machinery.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key accounts (modern trade partners).
- Negotiate terms, pricing, and promotional activities with modern trade retailers.
- Ensure timely delivery of products and manage stock levels at partner outlets.
Promotions and Merchandising
- Plan and execute in-store promotions to increase visibility and sales.
- Oversee product placement and ensure proper display at retail outlets.
- Collaborate with marketing teams for advertising campaigns aimed at modern trade.
- Supervise and mentor a team of sales representatives.
- Assign targets, track performance, and provide training on sales techniques and product knowledge.
- Act as a point of escalation for customer issues and provide resolutions.
Market Analysis
- Analyze competitor activity, market trends, and consumer behavior to identify opportunities.
- Provide feedback to management on product performance and potential improvements.
- Prepare and submit sales reports, forecasts, and account updates to senior management.
Jobs Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, marketing, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in sales, preferably in the tools, machinery, or hardware industry.
- Technical Knowledge: Familiarity with tools, machinery, and their applications.
- Negotiation Skills: Ability to negotiate contracts and promotional deals with retailers.
- Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills in both English and Burmese.
- Analytical Skills: Competence in analyzing sales data and creating actionable plans.
- Leadership: Capability to lead and motivate a sales team.
Working Hour: 8:30 AM To 4:30 PM
Holiday: Sunday & Public Holidays
