Salary: 1,000,000 / – Kyats
- The Quantity Surveyor (QS) is responsible for managing all aspects related to cost estimation, budgeting, and contract administration for interior design, decoration, and construction projects.
- The role ensures that projects are completed within budget, comply with quality standards, and deliver maximum value for money while minimizing project risk.
Key Responsibilities:
Cost Estimation & Budgeting:
- Prepare detailed cost estimates for design, decoration, and construction projects based on drawings and specifications
- Analyze architectural and engineering plans to assess material, labor, and equipment costs
- Create project budgets and monitor ongoing expenses to avoid cost overruns
- Provide cost advice to the design team during project planning phases
Tendering & Procurement:
- Prepare Bills of Quantities, tender documents, and scope of work
- Evaluate supplier/vendor quotations and negotiate prices
- Assist in selecting contractors and suppliers based on cost, quality, and reliability
- Review and recommend approval of contracts and subcontractor agreements
Project Cost Control:
- Track project progress and update cost reports regularly
- Monitor material usage and site costs, ensuring spending aligns with the budget
- Identify potential cost variations and work with project managers to manage them
- Prepare interim payment applications and final accounts
Contract Administration:
- Ensure compliance with contract terms and conditions
- Manage variations, change orders, and claim
- Assist in dispute resolution and contract close-out procedures
- Maintain all cost and contract records in a well-organized and auditable manner
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or Construction Management
- Minimum 2–5 years of relevant experience in QS work within the design, decoration, or construction industry
- Strong knowledge of construction materials, costing methods, and standard contracts
- Proficiency in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS software is preferred
- Excellent analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Sunday & Public Holidays
