Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of accounting experience, with at least 2 years in the agriculture.
- Proficiency in accounting software.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Accommodation will be provided.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with GAAP.
- Generate detailed reports on production.
- Develop and manage budgets for farm operations, equipment purchases, and other agriculture-related expenses.
- Provide accurate financial forecasts to support decision-making.
- Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal agricultural regulations and tax requirements.
- Manage tax filings, including sales tax, property tax, and income tax related to farming operations.
- Analyze production costs, including seed, fertilizer, labor, and equipment.
- Identify cost-saving opportunities and efficiency improvements.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Implement and maintain robust internal controls to safeguard assets.
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
