Job Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Certificate or deploma for Construction Management,
  • Quantity Surveyor or a related professional qualification is preferred.
  • Experience: Minimum of [5] years of experience in quantity surveying, with a strong focus on housing construction projects. Proven track record of managing budgets and contracts effectively.
  • Technical Skills: In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Proficiency in quantity surveying software and tools.
  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and make informed decisions.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to negotiate and build relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Leadership: Demonstrated leadership abilities and experience in managing and developing a team of professionals.

Job Descriptions

  • Cost Estimation and Budgeting: Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for housing construction projects. Analyze project plans, specifications, and other documentation to determine project requirements and costs.
  • Cost Planning and Control: Develop and implement cost control procedures to monitor and manage project budgets. Provide regular cost reports and forecasts to senior management, highlighting any deviations and recommending corrective actions.
  • Contract Management: Prepare, review, and negotiate contract documents, including agreements with subcontractors and suppliers. Ensure all contractual obligations are met and manage any contract disputes or claims.
  • Procurement: Oversee the procurement process, including tendering, bid analysis, and contract award.
  • Ensure that procurement activities align with project requirements and budget constraints.
  • Site Visits and Inspections: Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, assess work completed, and verify compliance with contract specifications and quality standards.
  • Financial Reporting: Prepare and present financial reports, including cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and final account statements. Provide financial advice and support to project teams and senior management.
  • Risk Management: Identify and assess potential financial risks associated with projects. Develop strategies to mitigate risks and manage any financial uncertainties that may arise.
  • Stakeholder Communication: Liaise with clients, contractors, and consultants to address any financial issues or concerns. Maintain effective communication channels to ensure smooth project execution and client satisfaction.
  • Team Leadership: Mentor and guide junior quantity surveyors and support staff. Foster a collaborative and productive working environment within the team.

 

 

Working Hours: 9:00AM to 6:00PM
Holidays: Saturday(alternate) & Sunday, Public Holidays
