Job Requirements
- Graduation – BE-MP/EP, B,Tech or AGTI – Mechanical/Electrical Power or Any a Technical school is desired
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in the repair and maintenance of generator systems from 15KVA to 500 KVA preferred
- Electrical or mechanical / technologist with at least 3 years of relevant experience
- Knowledge of environmental protection procedures and basic safety practices in electricity
- Exceptional communication skills to work with team and customers directly on occasion
- Proficient with estimating time required to complete tasks.
- Experience working with large industrial power generation equipment
Job Description
- Under the direct supervision and direct report to Line Manager, In-depth understanding Generator Unit,
- Engineering Section, Responsible for Maintenance, repair, overhaul, and rebuilding of high-speed diesel generators and pumps within a sector of the Mission Area. Troubleshoots and repairs alternating current electrical systems on generators, automatic transfer switches, generator controls and engine related mechanical failures; and performs routine preventative maintenance, oil and filter changes and inspections on all generator and by-pass pumps.
- Must be able to read Auto and sketches for diagram.
- Installs and maintains the generator wiring, electric motors, and machines
- Repairs electrical faults in generators, alternators, pumps, electric motors and low voltage switchboards.
- Able to Read and interprets mechanical drawings.
- Well experiences from 15KVA up to 500 KVA generator power.
- Inspects maintains and repairs generator sets and diesel driven pumps.
- Overhauls and rebuilds generators 8. Perform other duties as required.
- Run load bank tests on diesel, natural gas and propane generators
- Diagnose and repair any issues found during initial testing
- Troubleshoots and repairs alternating current electrical systems on generators
- Perform voltage changes on generators based on customer requirements
- Re-wire, adjust and install control panels and voltage regulators
- Adjust speed controls and various settings
- Change filters and perform standard service on units
- Sustained high degree of care and awareness required to prevent injuries to others
- Electrical troubleshooting and relay logic
- Knowledge of AC/DC power
- Work closely with the Line Manager on project progress, estimates, etc.
- Assist with other Tasks as required (Electrical, ACMC, Etc..) within M&E Service.
- Must be able to be on-call for emergency services.
- Must be able to respond to emergency repairs as needed (By Phone / Video online solution)
Working Hour : 8:30A.M to 5: 30P.M
Holiday : Sunday and Public Holidays
