Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E) certificate is highly advantageous.
- Under 50 years old.
- Minimum 7 years of proven site experience specifically in road infrastructure or building construction projects.
- Thorough understanding of the construction lifecycle, civil engineering principles, and standard construction methods.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D) with a strong ability to read, interpret, and accurately execute engineering and architectural drawings.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite and standard digital communication tools.
- Strong problem-solving, analytical, and critical thinking skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to manage diverse site teams and sub-contractors.
- High resilience with the ability to work under pressure and adapt to dynamic site environments.
Job Descriptions
- Supervise daily execution of road construction (Asphalt/Concrete) and building works (Substructure, Superstructure, and Finishing) to ensure compliance with approved drawings and technical specifications.
- Conduct regular inspections of onsite works, including earthwork, sub-base preparation, concrete pouring, and structural reinforcements.
- Implement Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) procedures to prevent defects and minimize rework.
- Assist the Project Engineer in developing daily, weekly, and monthly look-ahead schedules and progress plans.
- Coordinate effectively with sub-contractors, suppliers, and site foremen to ensure smooth workflow and prevent operational delays.
- Liaise with consultants, clients, and relevant stakeholders regarding site technical matters as directed.
- Monitor and manage onsite inventory (e.g., cement, rebar, asphalt, aggregates) to minimize wastage and prevent material shortages.
- Inspect incoming materials to verify they meet the project’s quality standards and specifications.
- Optimize labor and machinery allocation to maximize productivity on site.
- Prepare accurate daily progress reports (DPR), manpower charts, and site photographic logs for submission to management.
- Maintain a comprehensive site logbook, documenting daily weather conditions, equipment usage, and significant project events.
- Assist in preparing quantitative measurements for progress billing and variation orders.
- Enforce site safety rules and regulations, ensuring all workers and site visitors wear appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) (e.g., helmets, boots, high-visibility vests).
- Identify potential hazards on site and proactively implement preventive measures.
Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Holidays: Sunday Only
