The Head of Finance and Accounting is responsible for leading the Company’s finance and

accounting functions and ensuring the integrity, accuracy and timeliness of financial

information.

The position provides financial leadership to management and is responsible for financial

reporting, budgeting and forecasting, treasury and cash management, accounting

operations, tax and regulatory compliance, internal financial controls, audit coordination, and

financial analysis.

The Head of Finance and Accounting will ensure that the Company’s financial management

practices comply with applicable Myanmar laws and regulations, including requirements

applicable to microfinance institutions, as well as the Company’s accounting policies and

Group requirements.

The position is also expected to act as a key business partner to the Managing Director and

management team by providing timely financial analysis, identifying financial risks and

supporting sound business decisions.

 

 Job Descriptions

  • Lead financial strategy, planning and forecasting, including annual budgets, financial
  • plans and scenario analysis.
  • Provide financial analysis, advice and recommendations to the Managing Director
  • and management to support strategic and business decisions.
  • Monitor the Company’s financial performance, profitability, capital, liquidity and key
  • financial indicators, and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
  • Manage funding, treasury, cash flow, liquidity, banking relationships and foreign
  • currency transactions.
  • Lead the overall Finance and Accounting function and ensure effective financial
  • policies, procedures, internal controls and segregation of duties.
  • Ensure timely and accurate financial, management, tax, statutory and regulatory reporting, including applicable CBM and FRD requirements.
  • Liaise with FRD and other relevant regulatory authorities on important regulatory
  • matters, approvals, reporting and compliance requirements.
  • Coordinate and support FRD inspections/audits and ensure timely preparation of
  • required documents, responses and corrective actions.
  • Ensure accurate accounting and reconciliation of the loan portfolio and other MFI
  • related transactions, including provisions, write-offs and interest income.
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing and day-to-day accounting
  • Lead coordination with external auditors and ensure timely resolution of audit and
  • control findings.
  • Lead, manage and develop the Finance and Accounting team and ensure effective
  • business continuity.
  • Support the Company and Group in financial matters and perform other duties as
  • assigned by the Managing Director.

 

 Job Requirements,

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Professional qualification such as ACCA, CPA, CMA or equivalent is strongly
  • Minimum 8 years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including at least 3
  • years in a management role.
  • Experience in microfinance, banking or financial services in Myanmar.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting, financial reporting, budgeting, treasury, taxation
  • and internal controls.
  • Familiarity with CBM, FRD, Tax and MFI regulatory requirements.
  • Strong leadership, analytical, communication and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of integrity, attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
  • Ability to work effectively under pressure and in a challenging and rapidly changing.
  • Strong negotiation and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to liaise
  • effectively with internal and external parties, including regulators, auditors and banks.

 

 Working Hours: 8:30AM to 5:30PM

Holidays: Saturday & Sunday, Public Holidays
