Job Requirements

Bachelor’s degree; Education, Early Childhood Education or related qualification strongly preferred.
Minimum 5 years’ experience in education; 2–3 years in a leadership/supervisory role preferred.
Preschool / Early Years’ experience strongly preferred.
Good in English 4 Skills.
Demonstrated leadership, people-management, parent-management and problem-solving ability.
Strong understanding of child development and safeguarding.
Preferred: ECCD/Early Childhood Education, curriculum development, teacher coaching, First Aid/CPR, safeguarding training and experience establishing or managing a new preschool/private school.

Job Descriptions

Academic & Curriculum Leadership

Lead the development and implementation of the preschool curriculum and educational philosophy.
Establish age-appropriate learning objectives, classroom standards and teaching expectations.
Review lesson planning and teaching quality.
Conduct classroom observations and provide constructive coaching.
Develop teacher professional-development plans.
Monitor children’s learning and developmental progress and quality of assessment/observation records.
Drive continuous improvement in teaching and learning.

Staff Leadership & HR Support

Participate in recruitment, interviewing and selection of teachers and assistant teachers.
Conduct staff orientation and support effective onboarding.
Set performance expectations and conduct probation and annual reviews.
Identify training needs and coordinate professional development.
Prepare staff duty schedules and support appropriate teacher-to-child staffing.
Manage performance issues in accordance with school policy and escalate major employment matters to management.

Child Safeguarding, Health & Safety

Act as the school’s safeguarding lead or designated safeguarding person, subject to the final school structure.
Ensure staff understand child-protection and safeguarding responsibilities.
Maintain incident-reporting and escalation procedures.
Oversee emergency procedures, evacuation drills and safety inspections.
Ensure appropriate supervision, safe arrival/dismissal and accident/medical-emergency procedures.
Ensure safeguarding concerns are handled promptly, confidentially and according to policy.

Parents & External Relations

Maintain professional relationships with parents and handle concerns or complaints.
Conduct or oversee parent meetings and communication on children’s progress.
Represent Sirius professionally to external stakeholders.
Support parent engagement activities and school community-building

School Operations & Development

Oversee daily academic and operational coordination with management.
Coordinate school calendar, timetable, classroom allocation and staff schedules.
Support admissions, school events, learning-resource planning, maintenance and service providers.
Contribute to annual school improvement planning, enrolment strategy, parent satisfaction and school reputation.
Work with the owner/management on policies, budget priorities and long-term school development.
Unless separately assigned, the Principal should not carry full accounting/finance responsibility.

Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday
