Responsibilities

  • Take full responsibility for the fabrication, installation, and testing of piping and cabling works for fire protection systems in accordance with approved drawings, specifications, and standards.
  • Attend site meetings, identify, and resolve site issues, and provide technical solutions promptly.
  • Manage and control manpower, materials, quality, workmanship, site documentation, site progress, and construction schedules.
  • Lead and conduct daily toolbox meetings to ensure safety awareness and work readiness.
  • Coordinate effectively with consultants, main contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
  • Ensure proper implementation of approved installation and testing methods and procedures.
  • Prepare, update, and issue as-built drawings upon completion of works.
  • Monitor, coach, and train installers and subordinates to ensure timely and quality task execution.
  • Oversee overall site conditions, anticipate potential issues, and take preventive actions.
  • Prepare and submit weekly and monthly progress reports to management.
  • Take responsibility for site safety, proper use of PPE, and compliance with HSE requirements.
  • Ensure compliance with company rules, regulations, and policies at site level.
  • Continuously learn and keep updated with new technologies and best practices related to fire protection systems.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the superior officer or management.

Skill Requirements

  • Minimum Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • B.E. (Mechanical or Electrical) is preferred.
  • At least 3 years of solid experience in installation and testing of fire protection systems.
  • Strong technical knowledge in fabrication, installation, and testing of piping and cabling works, with good understanding of fire protection systems, BOQs, and site surveys.
  • Excellent ability to read, interpret, and prepare drawings, including issuing accurate as-built drawings.
  • Good knowledge of fire protection and fire prevention systems.
  • Sound understanding of safety management and quality management systems.
  • Strong management skills in manpower, materials, quality, workmanship, site documentation, progress tracking, and scheduling.
  • Proven leadership skills with the ability to oversee site activities, foresee risks, and take proactive actions.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, problem-solving, and negotiation skills, with good reporting capability.
  • Proficient in computer applications, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD.
  • Good command of English (reading, writing, speaking, and listening).

Working Hours: 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
