Job Requirements
- Must be University Degree in Engineering (Civil), Water resources Engineering or related field.
- Age over 30.
- Minimum of 8 years of experience in Project Management, with at least 3-5 years in Water Supply System Development.
- Proven track record of successfully managing large-scale infrastructure projects, preferably in Myanmar or similar markets.
- Strong knowledge of project planning, scheduling, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, and construction management.
- Familiarity with hydraulic modelling software (WaterGEMS, EPANET) and project management software (Microsoft Project, Primavera P6) is preferred.
- Good understanding of Myanmar engineering regulations and international water supply design standards.
- Willingness to work at project sites as required.
- Fluency in English (preferred) and Valid driver’s license.
- Experience in project planning, execution, and control, including budget management and risk mitigation.
- Have experience in at least one urban water supply project for detailed design of electrical works for water intake, water transmission pump station and water treatment plant.
- Excellent Communication Skills, both oral and written and problem-solving skills.
Job Descriptions
Project Leadership
- Lead the overall management of assigned water supply projects from project initiation through completion and handover.
- Establish project objectives, implementation strategies, and performance targets.
- Provide leadership and direction to multidisciplinary project teams, consultants, and contractors.
- Ensure effective coordination among engineering, procurement, construction, finance, and operations teams.
Project Planning and Strategy:
- Develop and maintain project execution plans, implementation schedules, resource plans, and budgets.
- Monitor project progress and ensure activities are completed according to approved scope, schedule, and budget.
- Resolve technical, contractual, and operational issues that may affect project delivery.
- Ensure timely completion of project milestones and successful project commissioning.
Project Execution and Control:
- Oversee the implementation of water supply system projects, ensuring compliance with technical standards and regulatory requirements.
- Monitor project progress against timelines, budgets, and quality standards.
- Implement effective project control mechanisms, including regular status reporting, milestone tracking, and risk mitigation.
- Conduct regular project review meetings with stakeholders to ensure alignment and resolve issues proactively.
Contract and Stakeholder Management:
- Serve as the primary point of contact for internal and external stakeholders, including government agencies, contractors, and suppliers.
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with project partners to ensure effective collaboration.
- Prepare and deliver regular project status updates to senior management and other key stakeholders.
Risk Management and Quality Assurance:
- Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on timelines and budgets.
- Ensure all project activities comply with relevant quality standards, safety protocols, and environmental regulations.
- Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure project quality and compliance
Financial and Resource Management
- Prepare and monitor project budgets and cash flow forecasts.
- Control project costs and recommend corrective actions when necessary.
- Ensure efficient utilization of project resources, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Support procurement planning and contract administration throughout the project lifecycle.
Reporting and Documentation
- Prepare regular project progress reports, management reports, and project dashboards.
- Maintain complete and accurate project records, including contracts, correspondence, schedules, meeting minutes, and technical documents.
- Manage project change documentation and maintain lessons learned for future projects.
- Support project close-out activities and final project handover.
Working Hours: 9:00 AM – 5:30 PM
Holidays: Saturday (Half) & Sunday & public holidays
