Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma/certificate; an education or early-childhood qualification is preferred.
  • ECCD / Early Childhood Care and Development certification strongly preferred.
  • At least 2 years of preschool teaching experience preferred.
  • Good spoken English and professional communication skills.
  • Basic computer literacy.
  • Preferred: Montessori, Reggio Emilia or other play-based learning experience; child safeguarding training; First Aid/CPR; international/private-school experience.

Job Descriptions

Teaching & Learning

  •  Plan and deliver daily age-appropriate lessons and activities in line with the school’s curriculum and educational philosophy.
  •  Use play-based, child-centered and activity-based teaching approaches appropriate for children aged approximately 4–5.
  •  Support communication and language, early literacy, early numeracy, social-emotional development, physical development, creativity and independence.
  •  Prepare classroom learning materials and adapt activities to individual children’s abilities and learning needs.
  •  Observe and document children’s learning and developmental progress.

Classroom Management, Safety & Well-being

  •  Maintain a positive, respectful and safe classroom environment.
  • Establish age-appropriate routines and expectations using positive guidance.
  • Supervise children continuously and follow Sirius safeguarding and safety procedures.
  • Ensure classroom materials and equipment are safe and appropriately used.
  • Report accidents, injuries, safeguarding concerns or unusual incidents immediately.

Child Well-being & Parent Communication

  •  Monitor children’s physical, emotional, social and developmental well-being.
  • Maintain professional and confidential communication with parents.
  •  Provide appropriate updates on children’s learning and development.
  •  Attend parent meetings, school events and other school activities.
  •  Escalate sensitive or serious parent concerns to the principal.

Teamwork & Professional Development

  •  Work closely with the Assistant Teacher and Principal.
  • Participate in staff meetings, training and professional-development activities.
  • Support school events and activities as assigned.
  •  Maintain professional conduct, confidentiality and teamwork at all times.

Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holiday
