Job Requirements
• Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or related field.
• 3-5 years of relevant experience in a QS role, preferably within a construction environment.
• Familiarity with construction drawings and site operations.
• Proficient in interpreting engineering drawings and plans.
• Familiarity with construction techniques and materials commonly used.
• Proficient in MS Excel, AutoCAD, and QS-related software.
• Strong knowledge of BOQ preparation, material control, cost management, and construction contracts.
Job Descriptions
• Assist in preparing project budgets, cost estimates, and financial forecasts.
• Monitor project expenditures to ensure alignment with approved budgets.
• Prepare cost comparison reports and cost-to-complete analyses.
• Analyze supplier and subcontractor quotations and provide procurement recommendations.
• Support contract negotiation and administration with vendors and subcontractors.
• Conduct quantity take-offs from drawings and specifications.
• Support preparation of interim and final payment applications.
• Assist in measurement and valuation of work done on-site.
• Verify requested quantities, specifications, and scope against the approved BOQ, drawings, and specifications.
• Provide commercial recommendations for MR approval or adjustment.
• Identify materials outside the BOQ scope and support the variation approval process.
• Coordinate with site engineers, planners, and subcontractors on commercial matters.
• Weekly site visit, attend site progress meetings, and record key cost-related data.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and internal departments for commercial deliverables.
Working Hours: 8:30AM to 5:30PM
Holidays: Saturday Alternative, Sunday and Public Holidays
