Role Description

  • This is a full-time, on-site Sales Marketing Manager role based in Yangon.
  • The Sales Marketing Manager will oversee sales pipelines, manage key customer accounts, and develop strategies to expand the company’s presence in existing and new international markets.
  • Own B2B sales into China for milled rice and broken rice—drive volume, margin, and reliable repeat business across feed mills, starch/ethanol plants, breweries, and food processors.

Key responsibilities

  • Build and execute China go-to-market for broken rice and edible grades; annual sales plan (volume/MT, pricing bands, contribution margin).
  • Prospect and close key accounts (feed mills, wet-milling starch plants, breweries, snack/noodle processors, rice flour makers).
  • Manage distributor/wholesaler network in South, East, and Central China; negotiate trading terms and rebates.
  • Run weekly price discovery and offers (FOB/CIF), prepare contracts, and coordinate LC/TT with finance.
  • Own demand forecasting; align origination, shipment windows, and inventory.
  • Ensure import documentation is complete; coordinate with customs brokers and CIQ/inspection agents.
  • Lead customer quality claims handling with QA; reduce claims rate through pre-shipment controls.
  • Track competitors (Thailand/Vietnam/India/Pakistan suppliers) and report market intel.

Qualifications

  • Strong sales and account management skills, including lead generation, relationship building, negotiation, and closing deals in B2B or export markets.
  • Understanding of Chinese buyer segments for broken rice (feed, starch, ethanol, beer).
  • Comfortable with international trade terms, letters of credit, and logistics.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English; proficiency in additional regional languages is an advantage.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, International Trade, or a related field; relevant postgraduate qualifications are a plus.
  • Proven 5 years experience in sales or marketing, preferably in agriculture, commodities, or international trading environments.
  • Comfortable working on-site in Yangon, with the flexibility to travel domestically or internationally as required.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and the ability to work effectively within diverse, cross-functional teams.

Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
