Job Descriptions
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records in line with accounting standards and hotel policies.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including departmental profitability reports.
- Develop, implement, and monitor strong internal controls to prevent fraud, and ensure effective control over cash handling and cash flow.
- Identify weaknesses in accounting procedures that could result in errors, misinterpretation of data, or potential cash manipulation, and implement corrective actions.
- Maintain and update the Fixed Assets Register, ensuring accurate reconciliation with physical verification of hotel assets.
- Oversee general ledger activities, account reconciliations, and proper recording of revenue and expenses across all hotel departments (Front Office, Food & Beverage, Spa, etc.).
- Oversee Food & Beverage costing by reviewing inventories, purchases, and sales for accuracy.
- Ensure accuracy of Income Auditor’s work and implement auditing processes as required.
- Ensure timely and accurate tax filings and compliance with all local financial regulations.
- Coordinate with internal and external auditors, providing required documentation and addressing audit findings.
- Monitor working capital, cash flow, bank reconciliations, and treasury activities to ensure sound financial management of hotel operations.
- Supervise, train, and develop accounting staff to maintain a high standard of accuracy, accountability, and professionalism.
- Support preparation of annual budgets, financial forecasts, and variance analysis to drive profitability and cost efficiency.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field – CPA (or) ACCA Part – 2
- Minimum 5 –7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role within the hotel industry.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards (IAS/IFRS) and Myanmar tax regulations.
- Experience with hotel accounting systems (e.g., Easy FO) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills with keen attention to detail.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
Working Hours: 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday half , Sunday & Public Holidays
