Job Description
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day accounting operations, including Accounts Payable (AP), Accounts Receivable (AR), General Ledger (GL), fixed assets, and taxation.
- Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, including the Income
- Statement, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow Statement.
- Maintaining and enforcing internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure compliance with financial regulations.
- Assisting in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning, analyzing performance, and providing recommendations for cost control and efficiency improvements.
- Supervising, training, and mentoring accounting staff, monitoring team performance, and ensuring professional development.
- Managing tax compliance, including filing returns and liaising with tax authorities.
- Monitor cash flow, working capital, and financial performance, providing timely reports and recommendations to management.
- Coordinate inventory accounting and cost control for manufacturing operations, including inventory reconciliation and production cost analysis.
- Provide strategic financial insights and business analysis to support management decision-making, business growth, and long-term planning.
- Continuously improve accounting processes, internal controls, and ERP utilization to enhance operational efficiency.
- Ensure timely month-end and year-end closing activities and maintain accurate accounting records in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
- Prepare and submit timely, accurate financial and management reports to the Finance Manager and
- Management Team to support strategic planning and business decision-making.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; ACCA Part II, CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in accounting and financial management, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or Chief Accountant role.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of financial reporting, taxation, budgeting, internal controls, and cost accounting.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.
- Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems; experience with SQL Accounting Software and ERP Next is preferred.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and good knowledge of Microsoft Office applications.
- Adaptability and willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality in handling financial information.
Working Hours: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Sunday & Public Holidays
