Job description
- Assign tasks and projects for new clients to appropriate team members based on their positions and expertise.
- Follow up on the status of client reports and provide regular updates to the Directors.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for inter-departmental coordination regarding client data and requirements.
- Supervise the delivery of on-site accounting and tax advisory services to clients to ensure high quality and professional standards.
- Ensure all deliverables and project deadlines are met consistently with high-quality outcomes.
- Review financial reports prepared by team members, providing constructive feedback and ensuring professional-grade final outputs.
- Establish and update accounting formats and policies in accordance with industry best practices and specific client needs.
- Oversee the accuracy of bookkeeping, vouchers, and bank statement reconciliations.
- Supervise the preparation and timely submission of MIC and CT quarterly reports.
- Manage the preparation of supporting documentation required for Tax Office submissions.
- Supervise the entry of ED (Entry Data) and ID (Internal Data) and ensure all physical and digital records are stored securely and systematically.
- Provide ongoing training, mentorship, and guidance to enhance team members’ professional skills.
- Coordinate with HR and Directors to develop and update Job Descriptions (JD) for the team.
- Foster a positive and collaborative working environment between staff and management.
- Manage team leave requests, delegate responsibilities during staff absences, and provide necessary reports to Directors.
- Lead and participate in internal meetings, ensuring the team is kept updated on all relevant matters.
- Review and report on operational expenses to ensure budgetary compliance.
- Monitor and inform management of all updates regarding government announcements, new laws, and regulations.
- Perform additional tasks as assigned by the Directors within the required timelines, demonstrating high levels of accountability and professional responsibility.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Commerce (B. Com), Accounting, or a related field. (Holders of professional accounting qualifications or relevant diplomas will be given top priority).
- Passed or actively pursuing professional qualifications such as ACCA (Association of Chartered Certified Accountants – Applied Skills or Strategic Professional level), CPA (Certified Public Accountant – Myanmar CPA or international equivalent)
- Minimum of 10 years of proven experience in accounting, auditing, tax advisory services, or financial management, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership role.
- Thorough understanding of Myanmar tax regulations, commercial laws, accounting standards, and compliance frameworks.
- Familiarity with MIC (Myanmar Investment Commission) quarterly reports, CT (Commercial Tax) returns, and tax office submission procedures.
- Proficiency in MS Office applications (especially advanced Excel) and computerized accounting software.
- Strong capability to lead, mentor, and supervise a team, delegate tasks effectively, and manage staff performance and attendance.
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate smoothly with clients, cross-functional departments, and senior directors.
- High level of integrity, strong accountability, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure, and capable of meeting strict reporting deadlines.
Working hours: 9:00AM to 5:00PM
