Job Requirements
- BE/B.Tech/AGTI (Mechanical/Electrical), Quantity Surveying, or equivalent.
- Minimum [2 to 3 years] of working experience as an M&E/MEP Quantity Surveyor in the construction industry.
- Proficiency in MS Office (especially Advanced Excel), AutoCAD, and QS software (knowledge of Glodon/BIM is an advantage).
- Strong analytical, negotiation, and numerical skills.
- Excellent understanding of contract conditions (e.g., FIDIC), M&E materials, and local market pricing.
- Integrity, accuracy, and attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities
- Cost Estimation & Budgeting: Prepare detailed M&E cost estimation, budget forecasts, and cost plans based on design concepts and shop drawings.
- Bill of Quantities (BQ): Take off quantities and prepare comprehensive Bills of Quantities (BQ) for M&E services (HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Protection, etc.).
- Tender Management: Assist in evaluating tender submissions, pricing analysis, and negotiating with M&E sub-contractors and suppliers to secure cost-effective deals.
- Progress Claims & Payments: Verify work-done on-site, assess monthly progress claims from sub-contractors, and prepare interim valuations and payment certificates.
- Variation Orders (VOs): Identify, evaluate, and manage Variation Orders (VOs). Negotiate rates for additional works with clients or contractors.
- Cost Control & Reporting: Monitor project expenses to ensure they remain within the approved budget and prepare regular cost-to-complete reports.
- Final Accounts: Measure completed works, handle disputes, and finalize contract accounts with clients and sub-contractors at project completion.
Working Hours: Monday to Friday (9:00 to 5:00)
Saturday (9:00 to 1:00)
Holidays: Saturday (Half), Sunday, and Gazette Holidays
