Stakeholder & Consultant Management

  • Property Owner & BOD – Align long-term property goals with BOD’s KPIs (e.g., occupancy >90%). Provide regular reports (P&L, occupancy rate, ROI) transparently.
  • Consultant Teams – Audit performance of technical consultants. Identify overcharging or substandard service and renegotiate to optimize costs.
  • Strategic Leadership – Develop and execute retail strategy.

Merchandising

(A) Product Assortment & Category Management

  • Define product mix for each retail shop format.
  • Review and optimize SKU-level profitability; discontinue slow-movers.

(B) Inventory & Supply Chain Management

  • Set inventory turnover targets and safety stock levels per shop.
  • Establish reordering schedules and coordinate with suppliers.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile with Finance.
  • Minimize shrinkage, expiry, and spoilage (especially for F&B and perishables).

(C) Pricing & Promotions

  • Develop pricing strategies (markup, bundling, seasonal discount) aligned with brand positioning (Premium vs. Value).
  • Plan and execute promotional campaigns (e.g., “The Premium BKK Snacks” bundle deals, Bird’s Nest bundle offers).
  • Monitor competitor pricing and adjust to maintain margin.

(D) Visual Merchandising & In-Store Experience

  • Set visual merchandising (VM) standards for each shop type (shelving, displays, signage, lighting).
  • Plan planograms for The Premium Branded Collection and other key shops.
  • Coordinate seasonal or event-based display changes (e.g., Thingyan, Christmas).

(E) Supplier & Vendor Management

  • Source and negotiate with local/international suppliers for Retail Shops (BKK snacks, bird’s nest, coffee beans, electronics, etc.)
  • Evaluate vendor performance (delivery, quality, pricing) and maintain vendor scorecards.
  • Retail Operations Management
  • Oversee daily operations of all shops (same list as before).
  • Manage direct reports: Retail Shop Leads

Financial & Commercial Management

  • Prepare P&L per shop/unit, with merchandising contribution analysis (gross margin, stock turn, markdown).
  • Collaborate with NPT Finance Team (Accountant, Cash Collection & Audit).
  • Ensure all merchandise-related expenses (COGS, logistics, VM materials) are tracked and approved.
    People Management
  • Train shop managers on merchandising basics: stock control, VM execution, inventory reporting.
  • Fill vacant positions with merchandising-capable staff.

Reporting & Compliance

  • Weekly/monthly reporting to BOD or COO : sales, gross margin, inventory aging, turnover ratio.
  • Ensure stock audit compliance with Finance team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree (Business Administration, Management, Real Estate, Engineering preferred)
  • MBA or Diploma in Retail Business Management is an advantage

Expected Skills

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of merchandising or category management experience in retail (FMCG, F&B, specialty retail). Proven track record in inventory optimization and supplier negotiation.
  • Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of merchandising metrics (GMROI, stock turn, sell-through). Experience with planogram software or Excel-based VM planning. Familiarity with imported goods and perishable inventory management.
  • Soft Skills: Analytical mindset for product performance analysis. Creative eye for visual presentation.
    Strong background in P&L, budgeting, cost control, and stakeholder management (BOD/owner/consultant).
  • Communication: Exceptional negotiation skills; ability to speak the “language” of both property owners and corporate boards.
  • Vision: A proven track record of taking a quiet or underperforming retail space and “breathing life” into it via creative marketing and expansion.
  • Urgency: Ability to hit the ground running (ASAP) and take immediate command of the existing consultant team.
