Job Requirements
- Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or B. Tech in Civil Engineering (or Mechanical/Electrical for MEP roles).
- Typically, 2 years. Fresh graduates are often accepted for “Junior” or “Trainee” positions.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (for reading/editing drawings) and Microsoft Office (Excel for tracking and reports).
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, structural drawings, and technical specifications.
- Strong communication to manage diverse site laborers and the ability to work under pressure or in outdoor weather conditions.
- Total Station, Auto-level, and measuring tapes.
- Safety helmet, safety shoes, high-visibility vest, and gloves.
- Site journals, checklists, and often mobile apps for project management.
Job Descriptions
- Establishing the building layout, levels, and markers on-site using surveying equipment to guide the construction crew.
- Overseeing site labor and subcontractors to ensure work follows the approved engineering drawings and quality standards.
- Checking materials (like concrete or steel) and workmanship to ensure they meet specifications. You may need to reject materials or order re-work if standards aren’t met.
- Maintaining a “Site Diary” or daily progress reports that track labor counts, weather conditions, work completed, and any technical issues encountered.
- Ensuring all workers follow safety protocols, such as wearing PPE (Hard hats, high-vis vests, boots) and maintaining a hazard-free site.
- Acting as the first point of contact for technical problems on-site, escalating complex issues to the Senior Site Engineer or Project Manager.
Working Hours: 9:00AM to 5:00PM
