Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering (B.E) certificate is highly advantageous.
- Minimum 3 years of working experience as a QS Engineer in building construction or road/bridge infrastructure projects.
- Proficient in using quantity surveying and estimation software such as PlanSwift, CostX, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and Advanced MS Excel.
- Strong ability to read and interpret complex engineering drawings and technical specifications for both buildings and infrastructure.
- Familiarity with local and international standard methods of measurement (e.g., SMM7, POMI, or CESMM).
- Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and numerical skills to ensure accuracy in costing.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills to deal effectively with clients, consultants, and subcontractors.
- Willingness and ability to travel to project sites for measurements and valuations as required.
Job Descriptions
- Perform accurate quantity take-offs and cost estimations based on project drawings (Architectural, Structural, MEP, and Infrastructure drawings).
- Prepare feasibility studies, preliminary estimates, and cost plans for the entire project lifecycle.
- Prepare competitive tender documents and cost proposals to secure new projects.
- Prepare and compile detailed Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for building works (concrete, rebar, finishes) and infrastructure works (earthworks, asphalt, sub-base, and bridge foundations).
- Review, administer, and manage conditions of contracts (e.g., FIDIC or local standards) to minimize contractual and financial risks for the company.
- Conduct site visits and measurements to verify the actual work done on-site.
- Prepare monthly interim payment claims and submit them to the Client/Consultant, and evaluate progress claims submitted by subcontractors.
- Identify, calculate, and negotiate Variation Orders (VOs) resulting from design changes or site conditions.
- Monitor and track project expenditures against the approved budget to ensure effective cost control.
- Prepare monthly cost reports, cash flow forecasts, and financial statements.
- Finalize project accounts, including negotiation and settlement of final claims with clients and subcontractors.
Working Hours: 8:00AM to 5:00PM
Holidays: Sunday Only
