Job Purpose
- The Senior Accountant is responsible for overseeing and managing the company’s financial records, ensuring accuracy, compliance with accounting standards, and providing financial insights to support business decision-making.
- This role plays a key part in managing financial operations, budgeting, and reporting for the EV business unit.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare, review, and maintain accurate financial statements, general ledger entries, and monthly, quarterly, and annual closing reports.
- Ensure compliance with local accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal financial policies.
- Oversee accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll processes.
- Prepare and monitor budgets, forecasts, and cash flow management for EV operations.
- Conduct financial analysis to support business growth, cost control, and investment decisions.
- Assist in external and internal audits by providing required documentation and reports.
- Ensure timely tax filings, compliance with government regulations, and proper documentation for EV-related tax incentives.
- Monitor inventory valuation, fixed assets, and depreciation schedules related to EV spare parts and equipment.
- Provide financial insights and recommendations to management for strategic decision-making.
- Mentor and supervise Cashier.
- Handle cash, credit, debit card and mobile payment securely.
- Balance cash drawers and reconcile transactions at the end of shifts.
- If necessary, support admin tasks (bank processing).
Skill Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA/ACCA is an advantage).
- Minimum 5–7 years of professional accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a senior role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, tax regulations, and financial reporting.
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP, Oracle, or other ERP systems).
- Advanced skills in MS Excel and financial analysis.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in the automotive or EV industry is an advantage.
- Strong leadership, communication, and teamwork skills.
Working Hours: 8:45 AM to 5:00 PM
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
