Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Communications, International Relations, Journalism, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5–8 years of professional experience in high-level communications or liaison roles.
- Proven track record of drafting Annual Reports or Social Impact Reports specifically for an international audience.
- Demonstrated experience managing corporate websites (CMS) and professional social media (Facebook) for business growth.
- Near-native fluency in English and Burmese, with the ability to switch between them fluidly in high-pressure management meetings.
- The ability to translate raw operational data and field interviews into compelling, professional narratives for investors.
- The confidence and professional decorum required to act as the “voice” of the MD during one-on-ones and management sessions.
- Proficiency in the terminology of the Myanmar Microfinance sector (e.g., NPLs, PAR, client protection principles, pro-rated bonuses).
- A high degree of integrity and emotional intelligence when handling sensitive internal data and executive-level discussions.
- Prior experience working with International NGOs (INGOs), UN agencies, Development Finance Institutions (DFIs), government agencies, or top-tier PR/Consulting firms is an advantage.
Job Descriptions
- Provide high-level interpretation (Burmese and English) for internal management meetings, one-on-ones between the MD and department heads, and external meetings with local partners and stakeholders.
- Produce polished, professional translations of internal manuals, company business plans and strategies, government directives and regulatory documents.
- Complete ownership of the MFI Website and Facebook page.
- Ensure content is bi-lingual, professional, and reflects the institution’s prestige.
- Draft MD-level announcements for internal staff and external PR releases to ensure a consistent, professional “voice” across all platforms.
- Coordinate the end-to-end creation of the MFI’s Annual Social Impact Report.
- This includes data collection, impact analysis, and high-level English copywriting to showcase our mission to global stakeholders.
- Assist the MD in maintaining relationships with international impact investors by preparing briefing notes, responding to English language queries, and ensuring our Social Performance data meets international standards.
- Identify and interview clients to create compelling “human-interest” content that validates our social impact for investor decks and reports.
Working Hours: 8:30AM – 5:30PM
Holidays: Saturday & Sunday, Public Holidays
