Job Descriptions

  • Understand and follow all school policies, including the Academic Integrity Policy and Assessment Policy.
  • Plan and deliver effective Japanese language lessons that meet students’ learning needs.
  • Create a positive, caring, and safe classroom environment where students feel encouraged to learn.
  • Help students improve their Japanese language skills and support their academic progress.
  • Assess students’ work, provide helpful feedback, and prepare student progress reports.
  • Use different teaching methods and activities to support students with different learning abilities.
  • Encourage students to actively participate in class and develop confidence in using the Japanese language.
  • Maintain good classroom management and promote positive student behavior.
  • Build positive and professional relationships with students, parents, colleagues, and school leaders.
  • Encourage students to take part in Japanese cultural activities, school events, and competitions when appropriate.
  • Attend Parent-Teacher Conferences and discuss students’ progress with parents when required.
  • Participate in school meetings, co-curricular activities, and other school events. Continue to improve teaching knowledge and skills through professional development.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Japanese Language, Japanese Studies, Education, or a related field. JLPT N3 or N2 certificate is preferred.
  • Good knowledge of Japanese language teaching methods and classroom management.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good command of Japanese and English.
  • Passion for teaching and supporting students’ learning.
  • Responsible, motivated, and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Able to build positive relationships with students, parents, and colleagues.
  • Committed to providing a safe, respectful, and supportive learning environment.
  • Able to introduce and promote Japanese language and culture through classroom learning and school activities.

Working Hour: 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM

Holidays: Sunday & Public Holidays
