Job Descriptions
- Handle both Freehand and Nomination shipments.
- Communicate with carriers and file rates for Freehand shipments.
- Check contract validity for Nomination shipments.
- Arrange booking reservations and negotiate space with customers and carriers.
- Coordinate with customers on shipment processes from booking to loading, B/L issuance, invoicing, and payment collection.
- Issue invoices and manage payment transfers between customers, carriers, and the finance team.
- Track vessel schedules (including connecting vessels) and provide updates to customers.
- Maintain regular communication with customers, carriers, and operations for any updates or changes.
- Manage accounts receivable and payable related to shipments.
- Handle and resolve customer and POD agent issues.
- Follow up on customer payments and coordinate with the finance department.
- Input data into Sy freight for invoicing and maintain Job P&L records.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and submit to the Manager.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or a related field.
- Proven experience in customer service, preferably in the shipping or logistics industry.
- Strong knowledge of Freehand and Nomination shipments.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills; proficient in relevant software and systems.
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills.
- Ability to build and maintain good relationships with customers and carriers.
- Basic knowledge of finance and invoicing processes.
- Strong analytical and reporting skills.
Working Hours: 9:00 am to 5:00 pm
Holidays: Saturday, Sunday & Public Holidays
