Responsibilities and Accountability
- Managing the warehouse in line with the company’s standards
- Complying with the company’s policies and vision
- Overseeing basic operations, such as receiving, warehousing, distribution, and maintenance of products
- Using the warehouse space to achieve peak efficiency
- Safeguards warehouse operations by complying with extensive security procedures and protocols
- Adhere to all warehousing, handling and shipping legislation laws and requirements
- Initiate, coordinate, and enforce optimal operational policies and procedures
- Maintain standards of health and safety, hygiene, and security.
- Take charge of stock control and warehouse organization.
- Regularly update the data storage system.
Main Duties
- Prepare annual budget
- Liaise with clients, suppliers and transport companies
- Organize notes, assign roles, and oversee warehouse employees (for other roles, see what is a warehouse associate)
- Recruit, select, orient, coach and motivate employees
- Produce reports and statistics regularly (IN/OUT status report, dead stock report etc).
- Receive feedback and monitor the quality of services provided
- Create and affix warehouse labels
- Requesting Logistics Quotations from Logistics Service Agents.
- Explaining the company’s shipment plans to Service Agents.
- Handling of Shipment Instruction processes.
- In case of sea freight, connecting with the shipping line and coordinating shipment planning.
- Collection of shipping documents.
- Coordination of import licenses.
- Sending Documents to Agent for Custom Clearing.
- Custom Clearing process communication supervision.
- Providing transportation activities in cooperation with the Operation Team.
- Assisting the accounting department by calculating estimates to facilitate financial operations.
- Must be handle import license, customer clearance, freight forwarder, shipping line, border trade, local domestics.
- Liaise with suppliers for PO upon requested delivery schedules and shipment date.
- Arrange shipping documents (documentation processes).
- To work on strengthening import & logistics processes.
- Documented experience as a Warehouse employee.
- Experience in management and knowledge of expected warehouse practices.
- Proven ability to implement and carry out improvement initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of warehousing Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
- Knowledge of the warehouse inventory management software and databases used within warehouses.
Task
- Supervise daily warehouse activities, including quality assurance, inventory control, space management, logistics, floor productivity, shipping, and customer service
- Schedule and oversee warehouse team, and manage the flow and quality of work to maximize efficiency and minimize overtime
- Inspect equipment, tools, and machinery regularly, and oversee general maintenance when necessary
- Meet regularly with warehouse leads to analyze productivity and develop actionable plans for loss prevention
- Oversee and manage logistics for transporting products to customers and company facilities, communicating with drivers and air partners to ensure efficient delivery of packages
Qualification and Educational Requirements
- Any Graduated, MBA Preferred
- Five or more years of experience in a warehouse role managing hourly employees
- Proficiency with warehouse procedures and policies
- Excellent problem-solving skills and leadership qualities
- Ability to work collaboratively with all levels of company staff
- Ability to deliver effective feedback, both written and verbal
- Associate’s degree (or equivalent) in logistics or supply chain management
- Proficiency with SCM+ for warehouses
- License to operate a forklift
- Ability to communicate in more than one language
- Good Communication
- Proficient in English reading, writing and speaking
Additional Skills
- Education degree in logistics, supply chain management, or business administration.
- Multiple years of experience in a warehouse lead role managing hourly employees (normally a minimum of 3 years).
- Proficient knowledge of warehouse procedure and policy. (More prefer) .
- Basic mathematics knowledge.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Available to work extended hour.
